About the Contest:

Monogram Foods' spokesperson Penny Hardaway is a Memphian through and through. His dedication to his city on and off the basketball court has brought countless blessings to the Memphis community.

To honor Penny's continuing dedication to Memphis, Monogram Foods is providing a $1,000 scholarship opportunity to local 11th grade students. To be considered for the scholarship, students are required to research and write a 500 word essay on the topic "Penny Hardaway: A Great Memphis Role Model." These scholarships (given to the top 10 essay writers) can be used towards a college, university, or trade school. The top 100 essay writers will also get a chance to attend a University of Memphis Tigers' basketball game with Penny Hardaway.
