Monogram Foods Announces Fifth IMPACT10 Charity Winner

MEMPHIS, TN – (March 18, 2015) – Monogram Foods is pleased to announce that Harwood Center is the fifth charitable organization randomly selected to receive $1,500 a year for the next 10 years from Monogram Foods’ IMPACT10 philanthropic campaign.

Harwood Center provides support and education for Mid-South families and children from birth to age five who are affected by developmental disabilities. The center is located at 711 Jefferson Avenue in Memphis.

“We plan to allocate the annual contribution for purchasing equipment and technology for the children,” said Claire Moss, Executive Director of Harwood Center. “Harwood allocates the majority of our small budget to program operations for young children with special needs leaving very little for technology which can significantly help nonverbal children have a voice.”

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Monogram Foods created IMPACT10 to give away $150,000 to 10 charities over 10 years. IMPACT10 recipients are selected by random drawing and each winner will receive a total of $15,000.  In addition to Harwood Center, other IMPACT10 recipients to-date include the Boys and Girls Club of Crittenden County, Ave Maria Home, New Day Children’s Theatre and HER Faith Ministries.

Nominations of deserving charities can be submitted through the IMPACT10 website at www.impact10.com. The sixth winning charity will be selected by random drawing on March 25, 2015.
“We have been so pleased with the acts of kindness we have received,” said Karl Schledwitz, Chairman and CEO of Monogram Foods. “Congratulations to this deserving organization.”
