Monogram Foods Announces First IMPACT10 Charity Winner
MEMPHIS, TN – (February 18, 2014) – The Boys and Girls Club of Crittenden County, Ark., is the first of 10 charities selected to receive $1,500 a year for the next 10 years from Monogram Foods’ IMPACT10 philanthropic campaign.
The Boys and Girls Club of Crittenden County provides after-school and summer programs for about 1,400 children in Crittenden County. “We help so many kids and are so excited to use this money to help with our summer program,” said Darin McCollum, director of The Boys and Girls Club of Crittenden County.
In celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary, Monogram Foods created IMPACT10, a philanthropic campaign to give away $150,000 to 10 charities over 10 years. IMPACT10 recipients are selected by random drawing and each winner will receive a total of $15,000.
As part of the IMPACT10 charitable effort, Monogram also has pledged to perform 10 acts of kindness in Memphis and the Mid-South, and encourages participants in the nominating process to do the same. Nominations of deserving charities can be submitted through the IMPACT10 website at www.impact10.com.
“It has been heartwarming to read all of the acts of kindness submitted via the IMPACT10 website,” said Karl Schledwitz, Chairman and CEO of Monogram Foods. “We are blessed to be able to help Memphis and Mid-South charities through our IMPACT10 campaign.’’
The second winning charity will be selected by random drawing on February 25, 2015.
