Monogram Prepared Meats Named Safest Company
Monogram Prepared Meats has been recognized as a 2018 Safest Company by the National Council of Safety, Nebraska.
The national recognition honors Monogram’s commitment to and fundamental practices of safety measures that go above and beyond the industry standard.
“[Monogram’s] safety team and senior leadership are commended for [their] commitment to safety,” said National Safety Council Nebraska President Erin Koeppe. Safest Company Award recipients are judged on the submitted safety logs and a company’s safety programs. Using a weighted average of the past 3 years, the logs and programs are compared to like organizations based on a company’s NAICS code.
Environmental Health and Safety Manager Brian Plautz shared, “The team here is proud to be recognized by the National Safety Council. We look forward to working toward earning another award next year.”
In hopes of earning the award again, Monogram Prepared Meats will build out their safety committee to aid in preemptive recognition of hazards, and they will create “lockout tags” with photos so that team members can better identify who has shut down the equipment prior to maintenance or repair work.
Past recipients of National Safety Council Nebraska’s Safest Company Award include: McCain Foods, Omaha Steaks International, and Cargill Meat Solutions.
