Watertown, MA- (March 8, 2023) – MassEcon, Massachusetts’s private sector partner in promoting business growth, announced its Nineteenth Annual “Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Award” winners, recognizing Monogram Foods among 13 companies across the state for their outstanding contributions to the Massachusetts economy. Monogram Foods will be the first honoree in the history of the awards to receive recognition for investments in two different regions, with our recent growth in Haverhill and Medford. Companies were selected based on job growth, facility expansion and investment, community involvement, and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives since January 1, 2022.

“We are proud to be named an Impact Award winner by MassEcon,” says Jon Sundstrom, Vice President of Operations. “This award recognizes a substantial investment in our communities and our team members. We look forward to continued growth and success with our growing team in the Medford and Haverhill areas.”

Monogram Foods started its Boston operations in Wilmington, where it still operates two plants. Growth into Medford and Haverhill was a direct result of growing customer demand combined with local community support. Monogram Foods Medford is one of a few USDA certified bakeries in the nation and employees 100+ team members. Medford produces 2.4 million baked items per week, including handheld frozen sandwiches for some of the top food brands in the U.S. Monogram Foods’ Haverhill location is a 135,000 square foot warehouse and production facility, and is Monogram’s largest plant. The Haverhill plant employees 400+ people who produce 3 million assembled sandwiches for a major multinational restaurant chain.
